The Linguistics Journal Submission News

This journal is closing down shortly. If you would like to purchase this journal please email before January 1.

Research papers should be up to 8,500 words and Teaching Methodology articles up to 6,000 words. Submission of MA/PhD theses and dissertations are welcome but must be thoroughly proofread before submission.

You should submit a precise introducing your paper. Every author must submit a brief biography as well as the following information. All submissions should be submitted to (e-mail here)

Process: All submissions are first assessed by the Senior Associate Editor. The papers are then further assigned to two editors for review. Thus three Editors will review each paper. You will be informed within 16-22 weeks (this may vary depending on various factors.)

***Format for all submissions (Please read this before submitting your work)

In order to assist us with web preparation, the following procedures are essential:

i) The document must be in MS Word format.

ii) The Font must be Times New Roman size 12.
.....Headings: May be Times New Roman size 14 or size 12.
.....Spacing 1.5 between lines.

iii) 'Smart tags' should be removed.

iv) Foot notes must not 'pop up' in the Document. They must appear at the end of the article.

iv) Citations -APA style.

v) Keywords: All articles must include Keywords at the beginning of the article. List 4-6 keywords to facilitate locating the article through keyword searches in the future.

vi) Graphs - Charts - either in the body of the document or at the end.

vi) Paragraphs. Double space between paragraphs. Indent the beginning of each paragraph except those immediately following a heading, quotation, example, figure, chart or table. Keep text formatting (e.g., italics, bold, etc.) to the absolute minimum necessary. Do not use full justification or forced hyphenation. All lines to be against Left .Hand Side Margin (except quotes - to be indented per APA style).

vii) Abstract
The abstract should contain an informative summary of the main points of the article, including, where relevant, the article’s purpose, theoretical framework, methodology, types of data analysed, subject information, main findings, and conclusions. The abstract should reflect the focus of the article.
